What I Learn When Dating An 18-Year-Old At 30

I am a man 60 years old separated 8 months I’m looking for a woman in her mid to upper 50s I’m interested in dating my own age group. My point is, it is really confusing out there. Women want a good man, but the don’t seem to be able to rid themselves of some occasional visitors that many men see as a red flag to a long term relationship.

Have Fun

Try to relax and seek out companionship based on shared values and common interests. Older men tend to prefer women with a good sense of humor. Don’t expect older men to be “women in men’s clothing.” Men our age often have a preoccupation with their own interests and masculinity. It is a sad fact of life that men tend not to live as long as women, and as a result, many countries have significantly more women than men above the age of 65. AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that empowers people to choose how they live as they age. A woman in her 40s or older has plenty of hard-won lessons and accomplishments of her own to tout, of course.

Usually a sign of some extended emotional codependency going on involving sex. I’m sure there’s women who could say the same about men. I choose to keep an open mind and not judge people.

Question of the Day

I’m 56 and athletic and in shape and I so far have never had any problem finding dates. We’ll see if it changes at some point. I just am too hyper-vigilant for red flags so I sabotage things.

We are in our early fifties and are wondering if any divorced women in the 45 to 55 range would enter into a dating relationship with a couple? We are looking for a serious long term relationship. Or is that just for 20 somethings. Life really sucks as it is for many of us single men, and to be all alone with no wife and family makes it much worse for us as well. So this is why many of us men are just doomed to be single and alone, even though it wasn’t our choice to begin with. It is the kind of women that are out there now unfortunately that are really to blame to begin with.

Anonymous…….your sweeping generalizations don’t apply to me. I don’t smoke, I am not overweight, and I eat healthy. I am an attractive, intelligent, and kind woman. A lot of men of all ages where I live are one or more….overweight, smokers, drug addicts, don’t groom their facial hair….just plain lazy and couldn’t https://hookupranker.com/youflirt-review/ care less. I have met a few intelligent and seemingly nice guys online, but they live far away, even in other countries. Finding a good local man is a lost cause, at least around here, and even when I do find one he has a ton of baggage or he just doesn’t trust enough to try a relationship again.

Latest

It leaves more women available to me. Seeing the laundry list of women and men posting here, makes me wonder why dating can be a challenge. I’m a 55 year old man and the last 3+ years no girlfriend makes me wonder what I’m doing wrong? I was married for 24 years, divorced 7. Dated a few great ladies and haven’t had a lick of luck in awhile.

I hope men that read these posts are aware not all women are gold diggers or impressed with men who flaunt their money. This is coming from a divorcee that turned down alimony after a 20 year marriage. I don’t feel I was hardwired to always look for the most attractive, richest, or toughest looking men but I have a high standard when it comes to respect and kindness. And yes, it is an added bonus to find an attractive man.

I don’t need a man for money or status, nor do I want a man years younger than I am. I work with the public and I dress and conduct myself professionally. Not one man has shown any interest. I’m a simple hard working woman who appreciates a hard working man, that doesn’t need the glam to be happy.

factors important for a healthy relationship

Even as a teenager, I was constantly rejected by girls. It was not until my early 20’s that I managed to get a date. It took almost 10 years before I was able to get a first date with someone. By late my late 20’s, I finally was able to find someone.

That’s different from a casual relationship where sex is all there is. Many don’t find that type of relationship satisfying, because it does nothing for the soul, only the body. It all depends on what you’re looking for. This country as a whole has an obesity problem. I get that you’d like to be with someone who cares enough about their own health and appearance. I don’t judge someone based on looks, but for comfort on many levels I understand wanting a partner who is height/weight proportionate.

I want to see the guy in 3D first, in person before I talk to him. I don’t want to see a one dimensional “picture” first. So go back out to the bars and start chatting to the gal standing next to you that you are assuming is in her 30’s, you might be surprised to find out she’s closer to your age. The current guy I’m dating in person.

Sorry, Dave, that you’ve been treated so poorly. You sound like one of the good guys. Now What – Studies have shown that once a man hits age 35 or so, for the rest of his life he subconsciously envisions himself about 15 years younger than he really is. Skip……I think at our age there has to be a little more tolerance, acceptance, and compromise in relationships. Nothing will ever be perfect and we all have our horror stories from our past relationships.
