EXCLUSIVE: Riverdale Season 5 Breakdown! Guess Who’s Getting Married?
Jughead replies that watching Archie’s face made him feel better. Betty then exits the bathroom in black lingerie and a black bob-cut wig, and tells Jughead that she will have to punish him if he did enjoy his kiss with Veronica. She pushes Jughead on to the bed and climbs on top of him as the two of them have sex. All is well, until the following night, when the lake house is broken into and they are held against their will until the intruders leave after learning that Veronica tripped the silent alarm.
Although Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis didn’t date during That 70s Show, on which they were costars from 1998 to 2006, the two began dated six years after the show wrapped. The episode leans heavily into the suggestion that becoming a serial killer is inherently genetic, which is obviously a very bold position.
They kept to themselves and didn’t like prying eyes, so they created the tale of the Mothmen, one which the Blossoms were eager to embrace. Jughead then remembers Old Man Dreyfus, who has been pushing the Mothmen fable from the highway. When they mention his name, Nana Rose confirms that he is in fact a Starkweather. Their investigation into G&G continues, whilst also watching over Archie in the bunker. Jughead informs Betty of his latest run-in with the Gargoyle King, during which he discovered that the Gargoyle King is not alone.
Hal arrives before long, which only makes the situation worse, leaving Betty with the only option of ending the dinner, and leaving for the dance with Jughead and FP. Later that night, Jughead and Betty inform Alice that they learned from Archie that Polly was fine and that she didn’t choose the Blossoms over them. She actually went there to spy on them, as she suspect them of being involved in Jason’s death. They are going to use this connection to finally expose the Blossom family. Betty and Jughead want to finish the exposé at the Blue and Gold, and they want her to join them. At the Blue and Gold offices, Betty expresses how she cannot believe how poorly her parents are behaving while Polly is locked up at Thornhill.
While all secrets have been exposed, to truly clear the air amongst the four of them, Veronica suggested that she and Jughead kiss, which they do in front of Archie and Betty. Jughead later goes to Betty for help in preventing the Serpents from being evicted from their home by Sheriff Keller and Mayor McCoy in response to General Picken’s statue being decapitated. If the statue is what is fueling the fire, matchtonight how to message someone on Betty suggests that they take away the gas by finding the head. His punishment for this is being stripped of his jacket and exiled. Polly has been living with the Blossoms at Thornhill, which worries Betty, and so she and Jughead confront Cheryl, as Polly has not been returning Betty’s calls. It’s from Cheryl that they learn that Polly is having twins, before agreeing to pass on Betty’s message to Polly.
We all know Cheryl Blossom is everyone’s fave character despite her devious ways, but no one loves her more than Travis Mills, Madelaine Petsch’s real-life boyfriend and biggest fan. They met when Travis messaged Madelaine to congratulate her on scoring the role of Cheryl. In a crazy coincidence, Trav auditioned to play Jughead, while Madelaine was originally up for the role of Betty So they could have been on-screen lovebirds as well. We are all looking forward to seeing how Veronica will get her revenge, but the actor is nothing like the villain he plays on-screen in real life.
The two are briefly separated by life circumstances but are soon reunited.
Now, Betty and Jughead will be working together to solve Jason’s murder all the time! Plenty of time to get to know each other and fall in love, basically. Jughead and his dad go to dinner at the Cooper’s residence, but it’s a setup by Alice Cooper to interrogate FP about Jason’s murder. Jughead and Betty leave for the dance where Jughead learns about his friends breaking into the trailer and thinks Betty was in on the betrayal. Hard to believe that Betty starts „Riverdale” with her heart set on Archie.
Chic’s true identity
Jughead is Archie’s best friend and he also dated Betty throughout high school before the show jumped ahead five years. Back then, he became the leader of the Southside Serpents, but now he’s a novelist and English school teacher, so it’s been quite the switch-up. Sprouse also plays an alternate version of Jughead from another timeline who fights to stop the Riverdale timelines from merging and destroying each other. Cheryl and Toni’s relationship didn’t make it past high school, and right now, Cheryl seems a bit more focused on the sins of the past and making Archie, Betty, and Jughead pay for what happened with their ancestors. Betty and Jughead’s relationship fell apart before they went off to college after he found out about her and Archie.
She has since grown as a character and even landed a job at the FBI. Because Riverdale returned tonight for its seventh and final season doing the time warp back to the ’50s. Betty and Jughead return home, where Jughead notes that Archie and Veronica have been acting off since prom. Betty comes to the realization that Archie must’ve confessed and reveals to Jughead that she and Archie kissed during Hedwig. She presumes that Archie must’ve told Veronica, which would explain why they’ve been acting so odd.
He feels that he has no other choice but to put the school on high alert and cancel prom. Betty, Jughead, and Charles convene in the Blue and Gold office. Jughead and Betty suspect that it could be a hoax, since the general public isn’t aware that the voyeur/auteur has moved onto recreation videos. With Honey wanting to cancel prom, Betty believes that the tape was forged by Honey in order to give him a reason to cancel prom, which she proves when she spots his reflection in the video.
DuPont gave them a new challenge; comit the perfect murder against Jughead. Jughead gets in bed with Betty and comforts her after learning the truth about why she wasn’t accepted into Yale and that she destroyed her father’s headstone in response. He tells Betty that he loves her and hates when they fight. Betty explains that she’s happy that Jughead was accepted into Yale and that he deserves it. However, It’s difficult for her to untangle that from the fact that she didn’t get accepted in.

Veronica’s romantic future is the most uncertain, but Charles Melton’s Reggie Mantle has yet to make an appearance in Season 7, so it’s possible that when he does, we’ll get a similar „meant to be” vibe. Although Betty initially appears to have feelings for Archie, that connection seems impossible with Veronica on the scene. However, she soon finds comfort in her friend, Jughead, and the two start a beautiful relationship. Over the course of the show, Betty and Jughead’s relationship faces numerous obstacles, primarily due to their standing in the Southside Serpents. Moreover, in season 2, the Black Hood threatens Jughead with death and forces Betty to break up with him. Still, both Betty and Jughead surprisingly find a way back to each other every single time.
